Boy/Lake
July 12, 2001
The lake is blue as Julians eyes
It glitters in the sun
Surrounded by the bristling pines
My soul is yet undone
When I do gaze upon the boy
Or gaze upon the lake
My heart do eagle-soar again
I tremble, shudder, quake!
Oerwhelmed with such a potent joy
When I do sit beside
One or the other, equal made
By fates irreverant pride.
So let me kiss his pretty cheek
And feel once more alive
I must return from whence I came
Into the lake, must dive.
