The Blossom

July 10, 2001

I am a blossom as I sit lake-side
Attracting bees to me
Sweet scented I do call them forth
and oh, they can not resist

I am a blossom, gentle and sure
but bees do never stay
they rest upon my petals but an hour
Steal a kiss then fly away

I will close my bloom for evermore
So no more bees may sting
Ill watch the lake alone from now
And never more shall sing
